The year was 1982. Deltona Corporation out of Miami was selling lots on Tierra Verde. The Rock Group ABBA, through their production company ANDANTE, bought 2 lots and had designer Ralph Lickton create a plan for a “Swedish Long House”. The house was built by Deltona’s authorized builder Harold Carlson. Together they created a 4,527 sq. ft. heated house with 6,798 sq. ft. under roof. The house is a V shape with 2 wings with 3 Bedrooms and 2 baths on each wing, along with 2,-2Car Garages, 2- 1/2 baths, a magnificent Great Room, Pool, Dock, large Stone Fireplace, Vaulted Ceilings, enclosed Florida Room with Hot Tub, Water views and beautiful Wood Floors. Then in 1986, my company listed the house for sale. The new buyer was the Mossberg family of shotgun fame. Mr. Mossberg walked into our office and said “I want to see a big house on Tierra Verde.” We asked him how big and he said “The biggest one you have” Within 30 minutes, it was under contract. The Mossbergs have owned the house ever since, making improvements to Kitchen, Baths, Roof, Seawall, Dock and installing a Solar System. Now, the heirs have decided to sell and have placed the house on the market with Century 21 Coastal Alliance for $2,750,000. The home is ready to move into.
