With Mother’s Day approaching, LocalShops1 is recognizing several mompreneurs – with a special twist: These moms are in business with their adult children.

Arnold’s Jewelry is a family-owned and operated jewelry and coin shop in Largo. In 1984 Ray and Kim Arnold envisioned a space where customers were not just patrons but cherished members of an extended family. Their legacy lives on as their children, Loni and Zack Arnold, carry forward the tradition of expertise and exceptional service.

“It’s impossible to overlook the influence my mom has on my approach to running a business and parenthood,” Loni Arnold of Arnold Jewelers says about her mom, Kim Arnold. “Balancing the demands of a small business with the responsibilities of family life is a challenge — one that my mom navigated with apparent ease. Her ability to be fully present, supportive, and engaged, all while managing a successful business, set a remarkable example for me. She not only demonstrated that achieving a healthy work-life balance is possible but also instilled in me the resilience and dedication needed to strive for it. Even now, as I struggle with my own challenges, she remains my steadfast mentor and supporter, showing me that what sometimes feels unattainable is within reach, thanks to her wisdom and guidance. Her role in my life continues to be that of a ‘super mom.’ ”

Arnold Jewelers is at 12293 Seminole Boulevard in Largo. For more information visit arnoldjewelers.com.

ReviveK9 Dog Training is owned by Coreena Breazeale and her mom Michele Sjostrom, who is the company’s sales and operations manager. They strive to help dog owners reach their goals and have branches in Tampa Bay, Sarasota and Orlando.

“Witnessing my mom’s unwavering dedication and expertise in sales throughout her entire career has always been incredibly inspiring to me. When I found myself in need of support upon returning to work after taking a year off for my newborn, I knew I could rely on her experience and guidance. What began as a temporary solution quickly evolved into a dynamic partnership that has flourished over the past four years. Seeing her seamlessly transition into the role of Sales and Operations Manager has been nothing short of remarkable. Her commitment to excellence and passion for our business has been instrumental in our success, and I’m endlessly grateful to have her by my side,” said Coreena Breazeale of ReviveK9 about her mom Michele Sjostrom. Stacey Ward and her daughter Caylee founded St. Pete Shopping Company in 2022 to make life easier for their clients. Their app provides a local alternative to national services such as Uber or Instacart, and offers concierge shopping, delivery service, and they handle your local errands including post office runs, Amazon returns, pick up items such as prescriptions, fresh produce at farmers markets and items for your pet. They have done over 1900 errands for their 96 clients and are growing.

“Ever since I was young, my mom has inspired me to be selfless. She always made sure to help others, and she taught me from a young age the importance of giving back to the community,” Caylee Ward says of her mom, Stacey Ward. “My mom has also inspired me to be a hard worker. My mom is never one to give up easily, and she taught me to never give up on my passions, because with hard work and dedication, you can do anything. I saw that firsthand with this business. In the beginning of St. Pete Shopping Company, it was hard because we had few clients and it was hard for us to really get our feet off of the ground and spread the word. My mom continued to be positive, and with her positivity, some creative marketing, and our teamwork, we have been able to bring the company to what it is today. I don’t know what I would do if it wasn’t for my mom.” For information about St. Pete Shopping Company visit stpeteshoppingcompany.com or mydumpling.us/biz/st-pete-shopping-company.
