Lealman Neighbors Invited to First Lealman Nights
Lealman, Fla. Lealman neighbors are invited to spend the evening at Raymond H. Neri Park this Saturday, Oct. 24, for the first Lealman Nights, a free movie night and community night market.
The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Opening night features “Minions and Monsters,” and costumes are welcome. Food vendors will be on site, and families are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and settle in on the grass. There is nothing to sign up for, and guests can come and go as they please.
Lealman Nights is the new name for the Lealman Market. It will return on the second Saturday of every month.
Volunteers from Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside will help out at Lealman Nights events. The nonprofit broke ground Oct. 15 on 26 townhomes at Lealman Heights, part of a planned community of 57 affordable homes across from Lealman Elementary School.
“Lealman has always been a community that shows up for each other, and we wanted to give neighbors a reason to come together on a Saturday night,” said Amy J. Cianci, director of the Lealman Exchange. “Bring the kids, bring a blanket, grab dinner from a local vendor, and enjoy a movie under the sky. It’s free, and everyone is welcome.”
