“This collaboration and project with Lance Rodgers has been an incredible learning experience about this important place and time where artists, writers and creatives gathered together before they were famous and shared ideas, ” said Susanne Byram, proprietor of The Left Bank Bistro. “Never before or since has there been a time where all these incredible individuals gathered together in the 1920s and now here we are 100 years later. The conversations, mutual appreciation for the arts and camaraderie were the inspiration for my restaurant. I believe it was an important moment in time that we need to honor and continue with today,” she continued.
“When Susanne Byram approached me about her vision, I was intrigued and loved the challenge of learning more about these significant individuals who have inspired and continue to impact the arts over 100 years later,” said Lance Rodgers. “I learned so much more once we started researching the various people who frequented the Left Bank in 1920s Paris. It was interesting and rewarding to collaborate with Susanne on this project and I hope this piece continues to inform and educate people about her vision and inspiration for The Left Bank Bistro in St. Petersburg, FL.
