Live Love St. Pete is partnering with two St. Petersburg branches of Seacoast Bank to provide backpacks and school supplies to local underprivileged school children during the entire month of July. The non-profit, Live Love St Pete, aims to give 1000 backpacks, filled with necessary school supplies, to kids in need at an event in early August.

The Seacoast branches are located at 1200 4th St. N and 9700 Koger Blvd. N. Both locations will be taking $20 donations, each of which will cover the cost of one backpack and supplies. All those who want to help have to do is see a teller at either bank for a sponsor tag.

“Live Love St Pete has served the St Pete community for years, and their focus on helping under-served children has made a tremendous impact. Seacoast Bank is proud to partner with Live Love St Pete during their Backpack and School Supplies Drive. Please join us in making Back to School less stressful and more rewarding for the children in our community!” said Seacoast branch manager Silas Elkins.

Seacoast Bank is a local community bank, providing a complete range of personal, small business and commercial banking solutions with a personal touch. As members of the St. Petersburg community, Seacoast Bank understands their customers are more than clients—they’re neighbors. The team at the Seacoast proudly supports the community and find opportunities to give back through participation in local food drives and other local charities.

Since its inception in 2021, Live Love St Pete has provided over $75,000 of much-needed resources to local students. The annual backpack event at Tropicana Field held in August distributes over 1000 backpacks, fully loaded with school supplies, to area school children who need them most.

“Live Love St Pete depends on the generous support of friends and supporters in our local community. We are very thankful to partner with them to help reach our goal of 1000 backpacks and school supplies to underserved St. Pete school kids,” said Melody Proud, Founder of Live Love St. Pete.

About Live Love St. Pete: St. Petersburg resident Melody Proud, who has a passion to help underserved school children in the area, started “Live Love St. Pete” as a novel way to get the whole community involved. It started in 2021 with a unique series of “Live Love St Pete” t-shirts featuring an artistic view of the St Pete skyline. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the shirts went to provide resources for underserved area school kids. The project has grown from there. For more information visit LiveLoveStPete.org. Facebook: @LiveLoveSaintPete, Instagram: @LiveLove_StPete
