With Mother’s Day approaching, LocalShops1 is recognizing a local mompreneur with a special twist: This mom is in business with her adult daughter.

Stacey Ward and her daughter Caylee Ward founded St. Pete Shopping Company in 2022 to make life easier for their clients. Their app provides a local alternative to national services such as Uber or Instacart, and offers concierge shopping, delivery service, including fresh produce at farmers markets and specialty shops including Mazzaro’s, Detwiler Farms, Frida’s, Spice & Tea Exchange of John’s Pass and more. They have completed more than 3,200 deliveries, with almost 100 repeat clients. The mom-daughter team also offers free pickups and deliveries to Hanks Bark Box, a pantry that offers free pet food. So far, they have delivered almost 6,000 lbs of dog and cat food to Hank’s.

“We are always trying to support our members and share their stories on how they make Tampa Bay a better place. What makes their service unique is that it’s a more personal, concierge service, rather than just delivery. For many snowbirds or tourists, they bring groceries in and put them in the fridge and pantry,” said Ester Venouziou, LocalShops1 founder. “At our November 2025 LocalShops1 Shopapalooza event, St. Pete Shopping Company, donated their sponsor booth to a local nonprofit Suncoast Voices for Children and helped run it all weekend. Late on day two, a couple stopped at the booth. The interaction led to a major outcome — a $25,000 sponsorship for the nonprofit’s October 2026 fundraising gala,” added Venouziou.

“Ever since I was young, my mom has inspired me to be selfless. She always made sure to help others, and she taught me from a young age the importance of giving back to the community,” Caylee Ward says of her mom, Stacey Ward. “My mom has also inspired me to be a hard worker. My mom is never one to give up easily, and she taught me to never give up on my passions, because with hard work and dedication, you can do anything. I saw that firsthand with this business. My mom continued to be positive, and with her positivity, some creative marketing, and our teamwork, we have been able to bring the company to what it is today. I don’t know what I would do if it wasn’t for my mom.”
