Oldest Presiden in the History of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

With sorrow we announce that Russell M. Nelson, beloved President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away peacefully shortly after 10 p.m. MDT yesterday at his home in Salt Lake City. He was 101 — the oldest president in the history of the Church.

President Quatel, Stake President of the St. Petersburg Stake, shared this reflection:
“We are saddened by the passing of President Russell M. Nelson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a man of faith, compassion, and selfless service whose leadership inspired millions around the world. We extend our heartfelt prayers to his family and to all who mourn his loss.”
