Orlando Songwriter David Weeks Releases New Single “Open Blue Ocean” on November 5

ORLANDO, Fla. — Independent singer-songwriter David Weeks will release his new single “Open Blue Ocean” on November 5, 2026. The 4:40 track is a romantic soft-rock song with a coastal feel — acoustic guitar, Rhodes piano, electric guitar and a warm saxophone line — written, recorded and released entirely independently.

Weeks, who is based in Orlando and has been writing songs his whole adult life, is releasing his catalog one single at a time, with roughly 100 more songs to come. He writes every song himself and creates all of his own photography and cover art. His catalog is deliberately eclectic — folk, rock, country, pop and dance, alongside songs in Portuguese and Spanish — and a run of country songs is planned next. His most-played track to date is “A Praia Foi Feita Pra Você,” a Portuguese pagode song written for two friends in São Luís, Brazil, whose photograph appears on its cover.

In the interest of the transparency the Catalyst values: Weeks writes all of his own lyrics and records his own vocals, and the finished production of his recordings is rendered with Suno around those vocal recordings. There is no voice cloning involved, and the recordings are not presented as live-band performances.

“Open Blue Ocean” will be available on all major streaming services on November 5, 2026. Advance page: https://ditto.fm/open-blue-ocean · Spotify artist page: https://open.spotify.com/artist/3rcpiKUnxWt5Q38FI7OGHX

Weeks is available for interviews by phone or in person. He is not booking live performances at this time.
