Tampa and St. Petersburg, FL — In support of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Massage Studio is raising awareness about the healing benefits of massage therapy by donating massages to The Spring of Tampa Bay, whose mission is to prevent domestic violence, protect victims and promote change.

During the month of October, guests purchasing massage gift cards will be matched with donated massages to victims of domestic violence throughout the Tampa Bay area. Gift cards are available for purchase at both of Massage Studio’s locations, South Tampa and St. Petersburg, and online.

“We want to share the restorative benefits of massage with those who are in need of self-care and The Spring is a wonderful partner to help us accomplish this idea,” said Veronica Swiatek, Founder of Massage Studio. “Massage therapy can provide a variety of mental and physical healing benefits including reduced stress and anxiety.”

The Spring of Tampa Bay has grown to be one of the largest domestic violence shelters in Florida. With 24/7 assistance available through their crisis hotline, they offer victims and survivors the support they need to leave abusive relationships and rebuild their lives.

In addition to donating massages, Massage Studio’s employees will wear purple ribbons throughout the month to encourage conversation as to how to identify and prevent domestic abuse within the community as well as promoting The Spring of Tampa Bay’s mission.
