See at the Tampa Fringe: THE DROPPING WELL
Bridget Bean’s long-awaited one-woman play, The Dropping Well, opens at the Tampa International Fringe Festival on June 6.
Bean (Mrs. Bliss’s Titanic Adventure, Strange Girls) returns to her Yorkshire, England roots with this mysterious tale of Mother Shipton, soothsayer. In Shipton’s world, magic is a part of everyday life, demons are real, and the shadow of despotic king Henry VIII shadows everything. Shipton foresees disasters, wars, and even the end of humanity. But can she predict her own, spine-tingling future?
Told in Bean’s signature style with wry humor, deeply-felt humanity, and – yes – time travel, The Dropping Well will be a treat for anyone who enjoyed Mrs. Bliss’s Titanic Adventure.
