St Pete Artist Erik Hesson Embarks on His Most Ambitious Project to Date, I AM ST PETE

I AM ST PETE is a Community Alliance, Social Initiative, Social Enterprise, & Apparel Brand which celebrates Diversity, Togetherness, Collaboration, & the People who make the community of St Pete so great.

St Pete Artist Erik Hesson (@erikhesson.abstractart on IG) founded this new endeavor, I AM ST PETE and their new site IAMSTPETE.community, in Aug 2021; as a way to bring the community of St Pete together like never before and to combat all the divisive influences of society today.  ‘Diversity and Variety is what we celebrate. …Those happen to be song lyrics that have now evolved into the project’s main mantra/slogan and they are from a song (and upcoming single) that Erik wrote this past year titled ‘I AM ST PETE’, which will be on the upcoming debut album for one of Erik’s other projects as a songwriter and music producer for his band Beach Drive (more info on that project available on IG @beach_drive_official)… Needless to say, Erik has a few creative projects in the works; and he considers I AM ST PETE to be the most wide-ranging and (potentially) massively-impactful endeavor he has ever embarked on in his life. And he believes that it has the potential to bring people together on a massive scale in St Pete and in a way that is more profound than anything else he has ever created or undertaken in his life thus far…

The overall goal and aim of I AM ST PETE is to celebrate Diversity, Togetherness, Collaboration, and to create a Community Alliance (and basically a huge Family), consisting of every single person living and/or working in the community of St Petersburg; a true Community Alliance which embraces a sense of Connectedness and Togetherness that permeates throughout the entire area, and which cannot be separated and divided under any circumstances or by any societal influences and/or propaganda from various outside sources.

If you’re wondering how you can participate, his team has come up with multiple ways to show your support and join the alliance to show community pride: 1. The Clothing & Apparel Brand I AM ST PETE along with their site IAMSTPETE.community  2. They’ve created a Corporate Membership Program for local businesses to join, along with a Members line of Apparel for anyone to buy a product from to join the alliance  3. They are going to do an ‘I AM ST PETE’ profile for every business owner/entrepreneur/private citizen who becomes an Official Founding Member of the Community Alliance and then it will be posted on the IAMSTPETE.community social media pages and website  4. They are going to plan and create upcoming local events like concerts, art shows, fashion shows, and an Annual IAMSTPETE.community Fest  5. Their online messaging and social media pages/groups will be promoting Diversity, Togetherness, Collaboration, and the People who make St Pete such a great place to live and work; becoming an extensive networking group for locals…

Time will tell which way this project evolves and what new branches grow from this tree, and it is definitely starting out on a very solid foundation: noble ideals and a unifying company mission/agenda. 

So, say it loud and say it proud…. I AM ST PETE.   -And you can let people know it by showing some love to St Pete and to this new project … And hopefully everyone is inspired and encouraged to join the new Community Alliance and grab some fresh I AM ST PETE gear to show support..
