ST PETE LIVE ON CENTRAL | UPCLOSE CONCERT SERIES

St. Petersburg, FL –  One of the greatest voices of our generation, multi GRAMMY Award winning jazz, soul, blues, and gospel sensation Gregory Porter is performing at The Floridian Social Club as a part of St. Pete Live on Central, a new live music experience that provides music lovers an opportunity to see award winning international artists in an upscale, intimate and exclusive atmosphere. 

St. Pete Live on Central is a collaborative effort to put St. Petersburg, Florida on the map as one of the premiere cities in the US for live music. The highly-anticipated, intimate concert series is kicking-of this Fall, October 1, 2021 at 7:30pm EST featuring world renowned, multi GRAMMY award winning artist Gregory Porter at the newly renovated Floridian Social Club (formerly the State Theatre) an upscale lounge, concert venue, and event space in the heart of the city’s downtown Central Avenue entertainment district.

In his sensational career, Porter has been celebrated for his innate ability to transcend genres and connect with audiences from all walks of life, resulting in tremendous national and international success. ‘Liquid Spirit’ – which followed the critically-acclaimed and Grammy nominated albums ‘Water’ (2010) and ‘Be Good’ (2012) – quickly grew into a global phenomenon, selling a million albums worldwide and becoming the most streamed jazz album of all-time with over 20 million streams. The album has sold Platinum in the UK and Germany, and Gold in France, The Netherlands, and Austria. Porter has appeared on The Tonight Show and  Jimmy Kimmel Live. He has been named “America’s Next Great Jazz Singer” by  both ESQUIRE and NPR Music. 

Also, performing as special guest is R&B/Soul Sensation, ALEX HARRIS. His Billboard hit single, ‘Falling for You,’ was recently recognized in USA Today’s Top 40 R&B singles on Billboard in North America. 

St Pete Live on Central is produced by Berset Harris Entertainment in concert with The Floridian Social Club. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales benefits Arts Conservatory for Teens, a non profit organization serving Pinellas County whose mission is to educate, empower, and enrich the lives of youth and teens in order to foster healthy, productive, and responsible citizens. Prior to the concert event, students enrolled in the organization’s program will receive a private Masterclass experience with award winning world-renowned artists and entertainers.
