Tampa Bay Area Hooters Restaurants Help Several Organizations for the Holidays
The Hooters restaurants in the Tampa Bay area continued their annual tradition of giving back to several nonprofits for the holidays. This holiday season the Hooters restaurants in the Tampa Bay area participated in the Boys and Girls Club’s Elf program. Hooters sponsored the holiday parties for the teens at the Jennings, Orange Grove and Madison Clubs.
Donations from HMC Hospitality Group and employees included 70 ($25) gift cards and $500 for each of the three clubs’ holiday parties ($1,500 total). In addition, the South Tampa, Hillsborough and Brandon Hooters locations donated boneless wings and tots for each party on December 20th.
“We wanted to get involved where there was a need and give the teens at these three clubs a festive holiday party. It has been a tough hurricane season, and we wanted to support the teens and spread happiness for the holidays. We also continued our support for several organizations’ annual holiday events,” said HMC Hospitality Group Chief Marketing Officer Denise Williams.
In addition to the Boys and Girls Club, The Original Hooters locations donated to several organizations they have longstanding partnerships with including The Arc Tampa Bay, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and Metropolitan Ministries.
Hooters provided wings and clam chowder served by five Hooters Girls from Clearwater Hooters at the annual Arc Holiday party. Hootie also attended. Hooters has supported the Arc Tampa Bay holiday party for over 22 years.
Hooters donated $2,500 towards the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital “All Kids Wonderland 2024”. Original Hooters representatives and two Hooters Girls from the 4th Street Hooters location in St. Pete attended the event and wrapped presents for the families. Participants were able to pick out gifts for anyone in their family, including kids that are currently patients at John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
During Thanksgiving, employees participated in an internal food drive for Metropolitan Ministries that donated 461 pounds of food and ten cases of turkeys.
