Free networking opportunities will present organizations with newly developed apparatus  for building up local initiatives.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (February 22, 2021) — The Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative (TBHC)  and Social Venture Partners of Tampa Bay (SVP Tampa Bay) will co-host a virtual, informational networking session on March 1st, bringing to the table new tools and programs designed to benefit local organizations and encourage collaboration. An hour-long event, “Tools You Can Use” will focus on demonstrating TBHC’s new app, Collaborate, and detailing SVP Tampa Bay’s new donation need and volunteer opportunity website.

TBHC launched Collaborate in late January during an interactive launch party attended by local and state-wide organizations. Developed to help organizations leverage each other’s resources and determine when partnerships would be beneficial, Collaborate is Dr. Sheron Brown’s vehicle for unified, efficient progress towards health equity in Tampa Bay, among other things.

Her work as CEO and Executive Director of TBHC has been centered around fostering teamwork, stating, “Our app, Collaborate, supports organizations that deal in health and human services, as well as those whose initiatives involve social determinants of health. By connecting them with each other more efficiently, we hope to increase their opportunities to cohesively partner on projects and share or enhance the donor dollars that will boost health equity initiatives.”

SVP Tampa Bay has cultivated a reputation for helping nonprofits develop sustainable models as well as local collaborations. Their new websites, Tampa Bay CARES and Help Connect showcase the donor needs of participating organizations as well as available volunteer opportunities. Keara McGraw, SVP’s Program Manager shared, “Social Venture Partners is dedicated to continuing to develop strong nonprofits through support and collaboration, we are honored to be partnering with TBHC to bring new ways for nonprofits to work together during these unprecedented times.”

Attendees to March 1st’s event can expect to gain new area contacts and viable tools to help develop a strong framework for existing or nascent initiatives. To register for the free virtual session with TBHC and SVP Tampa Bayclick here.
