THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF TAMPA BAY ANNOUNCES NEW LEADERSHIP
TAMPA, FL – The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay is pleased to announce new Board members and leadership changes for fiscal year 2021. Our Board and Council members have deep roots in Tampa Bay and a broad knowledge of our community’s needs. They are dedicated philanthropists who work hard to steward our investment in the region and inspire giving among others. The Board of Trustees Officers are:
- Robert H. Mohr – Chair
Mr. Mohr is a Florida Bar Board Certified Wills, Trusts and Estate Lawyer with his office located in Sun City Center.
- Mike M. Starkey – Chair Elect
Mr. Starkey is a Senior Sales Executive with Genesys and has over 20 years in the Information Technology market.
- Edward F. Koren – Treasurer
Mr. Koren is a partner in Holland & Knight’s Tampa and Lakeland offices and leads the firm’s private wealth practice.
- Linda O. Simmons – Secretary
A graduate of the University of South Florida and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Ms. Simmons enjoyed a successful career in lending and banking prior to joining R.R. Simmons.
- Betty Castor – Past Chair
Ms. Castor has devoted much of her life to public service, most notably as President of the University of South Florida, Florida Commissioner of Education and President and CEO of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
We are also pleased to welcome Willie Tims, Jr. to the Board of Trustees as a new member. Willie is the Retired Corporate EHS Director with the Mosaic Company and currently serves on the Board of Academy Prep.
Susanna C. Fenhagen and Richard J. Rios are also joining our Leadership Council. Our Leadership Council members are long-time advocates for philanthropy, the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, and the Tampa Bay region. They offer counsel and direction to help us inspire giving and have a positive impact in our communities.
