Despite being stuck in the sand dunes, needing a new transfer case and losing a shower pump, Cory and Elizabeth’s five-ton, self-built van Pearl courageously escorted the two across the state of Oregon in the second and third episodes of Burn the Script, which are available now for streaming on RHStv.

In episode two, Pearl delayed the couple’s travel plans after getting stuck in the sand when the van’s transfer case, which controls power distribution inside the vehicle, stops working.

And as you can imagine, having car trouble in the middle of nowhere isn’t ideal.

“We have great stories,” Elizabeth said in episode’s introduction. “And that is the way [Cory] and I choose to live – eyes wide open, not in fear but in, you know, loving the bad decisions that lead to great adventures.”

The pair were able to find help through a friendly neighbor who helped them replace the van’s transfer case.

Episode three is off to an explosive start as the duo take a chilling dip in Crater Lake, which came to be over 7,000 years ago after the collapse of the volcano, Mount Mazama.

And according to Cory, the lake, which is also known among many as the “Deep Blue Lake,” is fed by melted snow and rain instead of streams.

“It is the clearest, purest water of any lake in the United States.” said Cory, who dreamt of visiting the lake ever since he was little.

New episodes of Burn the Script drop every Wednesday on RHStv.
