YMCA Appoints Kimberly G. Jackson, Esq., as Chair of Board of Directors
ST. PETERSBURG | January 4, 2023 – YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is pleased to announce the appointment of Kimberly G. Jackson, Esq., as Chair of its Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 term. Kimberly has served on the Board of Directors since early 2018. An accomplished leader with a strong background in law, education and advocacy, Kimberly brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to community service and equity to her new role.
Kimberly’s professional journey led her to St. Petersburg, where she developed a strong passion for nonprofit advocacy, particularly with family-oriented agencies. Following her daughter’s diagnosis of Asperger’s syndrome, Kimberly transitioned from her legal career to education.
Kimberly’s commitment to equity has been evident throughout her tenure at St. Petersburg College. She served as the Political Science Chair before assuming the role of Executive Director at Institute for Strategic Policy Solutions (ISPS). Through her position at ISPS she works to promote student engagement, enhance civic and community involvement, facilitate a center for public discourse and identify economic initiatives.
Kimberly, a native of Illinois, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Spelman College, a Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law, and a Master’s in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
