Owner Terra Dunham modeled Book + Bottle on her favorite Denver hangout, BookBar. “I worked from home from there, and I saw that the model worked, and it seemed like the market in St. Pete was perfect for a book store/wine bar.” Book + Bottle is a book store – check – and it’s a wine bar – check again – but it’s also a coffee shop with extended hours and strong Wifi, a most comfortable and cozy spot to get work done while sipping on any number of beverages – coffees, teas, beers or wines. Book + Bottle curates the best in literary fiction, new releases and more; they have small sections dedicated to the environment, cooking, wine, local lit and Russian literature. “I kept watching other people live their dream, have these cool businesss and live the lifestyle they really wanted,” says Terra, a sworn bibliophile and St. Petersburg native who came home and opened Book + Bottle in the spring of ’20. “Everybody who lives like that just made it happen; they just did it. And I thought ‘I want to live like that.’” And so she made it happen.
