Affordable housing project for veterans receives county loan

September 9, 2022 - Pinellas County Commissioners unanimously approved a $1.7 million Affordable Housing Program loan for a long-awaited project in Seminole. Known as Valor Preserve, the 64-unit community will implement veterans’ preferences and set aside half the apartments for households with special needs. The Pinellas County Housing Authority acquired the 13.5-acre site at 9575 Seminole Blvd. in 2013 and will use the loan for construction. The project includes 10 units for households making below 30% of the area median income (AMI), 10 at 50% AMI and the remaining 44 are for those making less than 60% of the AMI.
