All Children’s Hospital welcomes second facility dog
November 14, 2025 - Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital has welcomed its second full-time facility dog, Boomer, a female yellow labrador expertly trained and provided by Canine Companions. Boomer will help lift spirits as part of the Child Life Department's Facility Dog Program. Facility dogs receive two years of extensive and specialized training where they learn over 45 tasks that allow them to interact with and calm patients.
