Art Institute of Tampa to close
September 27, 2023 - The Art Institute of Tampa is set to permanently shut its doors by the end of the month as part of a nationwide closure. According to the AI website, the school will help students coordinate transfers to other colleges/institutes as well as their earned credits. The previous AI owner Education Management Corp. filed for bankruptcy in 2018. The AI group is citing the financial hurdles during the pandemic as the main driver for the closure. Other AI campuses that will be closing include those in Atlanta; Austin, Houston and Dallas, Texas; Boston; San Antonio and Virginia Beach, Virginia.
