Bankers Financial Corporation founder dies
May 5, 2023 - Bob Menke, founder of St. Petersburg-based Bankers Financial Corporation, died Thursday afternoon, according to an announcement from BFS. Menke, 89 years old, died peacefully in his home. Menke founded BFS in 1976. Since then, it has become one of the largest privately held financial services companies in the region.
