Barnes & Noble reopens Tyrone store

June 5, 2020 - Barnes & Noble said all of its Florida stores are re-opened to the public after being closed due to COVID-19. Stores now open include the location at 2501 Tyrone Blvd. in St. Petersburg, as well as 23654 U.S. 19 North in Clearwater. Two stores in Tampa and one store in Brandon also are open, according to the company's website. Barnes & Noble said in a statement that it decided to open stores based on state and local guidelines and it has put in place a number of safety precautions for both customers and booksellers. In addition to enhanced cleaning and social distancing measures, cafés are limited to to-go only service and BN Café App pickup. The company is offering curbside delivery for buy online, pick up in store orders. Barnes & Noble also said it would not hold in-store events but will host virtual events with authors and storytime book readings online.
