California logistics firms relocates HQ to Tampa
October 6, 2022 - Merit Logistics, a national third-party logistics provider, is relocating its corporate headquarters from San Juan Capistrano, California to Tampa. The company has purchased a 7,430-square-foot property at 601 S. Magnolia Ave. in Hyde Park and plans to create up to 20 jobs immediately, according to the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council's Thursday news release. “For our new headquarters we were looking for a place that provides an excellent quality of life, a favorable tax climate and plenty of family-friendly activities. Tampa met all these criteria and more,” Cesar Scolari, CEO of Merit Logistics, said in the release. The Tampa Bay EDC conducted a virtual visit with the Merit Logistics team and has offered to support Merit with its talent and workforce needs.
