CASA appeals for gifts to tap match from Slack co-founder
March 23, 2020 - CASA, the official domestic violence center for southern Pinellas County, hopes to tap a donation match from Steve Butterfield, co-founder of Slack. Butterfield said he would provide a 5-to-1 match for any local organization supporting or sheltering victims of domestic violation, up to $250,000. "This kind of opportunity to support survivors doesn't come around often and is needed now more than ever," CASA said in an email, adding that social isolation, financial burdens, and added stress during this global health crisis will exacerbate domestic violence.
Please support CASA through this 5:1 match — here’s how: 1. Donate at https://t.co/q8bGZIopVZ 2. Forward the confirmation email for the donation to matching@rubiobutterfield.org#standuptosilence https://t.co/mlTC2NMAHc
