Chargebacks911 resolves dispute with FTC
November 7, 2023 -
Tech provider Chargebacks911 and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) have reached a settlement in a complaint filed by former customers in April. Regulators noted Chargebacks911's role as the customers’ chargeback platform provider and that its services were misused to manipulate chargeback data, according to a Tuesday announcement. Chargebacks stated the settlement is "not an admission of wrongdoing," and the company has agreed to pay $150,000 to regulators and limit service offerings to certain registered high-risk merchants that have a proven history of poor consumer-related conduct.
