Community rallies after Seabird Sanctuary thefts
October 7, 2025 - The Seaside Seabird Sanctuary is thanking the community after the Indian Shores facility's donation box was robbed for the second time in two weeks at 3:45 a.m. Sunday morning. According to a subsequent social media post, a community member recognized a suspect from shared photos. The facility, which is "still rebuilding and financially hurting after last year's hurricanes," offered a "huge THANK YOU" for the outpouring of support and much-needed donations.
