County extends ‘State of Local Emergency’ for dengue fever
October 16, 2026 - Pinellas County has extended the State of Local Emergency related to dengue fever through Oct. 22. According to a prepared statement, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution declaring the emergency Sept. 24, which "grants the County Administrator authority to quickly approve expenditures related to mosquito control."
