DeSantis unveils $99.7B state budget for next year
December 9, 2021 - Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiled a $99.7 billion budget for the 2022-2023 fiscal year that will include bonuses for teachers and $1 billion in gas tax relief. The budget, dubbed the “Freedom First Budget," includes $1.4 billion in funding for early child education, $2.7 billion in state operating funding for the State University System, and $226.7 million to provide raises for those working in public safety.
