Duke announces second rate cut this year

April 17, 2024 - St. Petersburg-based Duke Energy Florida recently filed a midcourse rate request with the Florida Public Service Commission due to lower-than-expected natural gas costs. With the Commission's approval, a typical residential customer will see their bill decline by nearly 4%. According to Duke, residents received a 6% discount in January.
