Duke Florida customers could see 20% bill increases

January 24, 2023 - Officials with St. Petersburg-based Duke Florida announced Monday that they filed to recoup about $795 million in unexpected fuel costs and $442.1` million in storm restoration expenses. According to the release, the changes will take effect in April if the Florida Public Service Commission grants approval. A typical customer could see a 20% price increase, while commercial and industrial bills could soar from 19% to 37%.
