Enjoy Pinellas’ parks and preserves, win a prize

December 4, 2021 - Nature lovers have an added incentive to stroll through Pinellas County’s trails this winter, as residents can earn prizes while enjoying the great outdoors. Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources began its Winter Walk program on Dec. 1. Residents must first register using an Eventbrite link by Jan. 15, 2022, then complete eight walks on any participating trails before April 30, 2022. The same trail is eligible for multiple uses on different days. Once the walks are finished, participants must fill out an online form. Prizes are awarded to everyone who completes the eight hikes. The list of eligible parks and preserves are as follows: Wall Springs Park; Brooker Creek Park; Eagle Lake Park; The Florida Botanical Gardens; John Taylor Park; Boca Ciega Millennium Park; Lake Seminole Park; and Sawgrass Lake Park.
