Florida Hospital Association names new CEO
September 4, 2020 - Mary Mayhew will become president and CEO of the Florida Hospital Association effective in October. Mayhew is the current secretary of the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. Mayhew succeeds Bruce Rueben, who stepped down at the end of 2019 after leading the association for 11 years. Executive vice president Crystal Stickle has served as interim president since the start of 2020. Mayhew was identified as the top candidate for the post by a seven-member search committee comprised of key board leadership members, a news release said. The Florida Hospital Association, headquartered in Orlando, represents and advocates for state's hospital community.
