Four HCA hospitals in Pinellas County will be hosting “Crush the Crisis,” an opioid take-back event. The goal is to bring awareness to the opioid epidemic and teach the community the proper way to dispose of the medications, said Jake Fisher, CEO of Palms of Pasadena Hospital. The event will be from 10 .m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 1501 Pasadena Ave. S., with a drop-off location next to the hospital's main entrance. Law enforcement officers from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office will help with the collection and disposal of unused medications.
