Heavy rains cause flooding
August 11, 2025 - Local meteorologist Denis Philips reported that some areas of coastal Pinellas County received over a foot of rain Sunday. Residents reported flooding in Madeira Beach, Gulfport and around the Palm Lake Christian Church construction site in West St. Petersburg. Phillips said the area will "likely see another round" of heavy storms Monday.
