Historic St. Petersburg restaurant space is now available for lease
October 29, 2026 - Colliers announced Tuesday that the former Coney Island Sandwich Shop space is available for lease. The 2,080-square-foot property, at 250 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street N., recently underwent a $150,000 renovation project. The restaurant, owned by the Barlas family for approximately a century, closed in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the declining health of Hank Barlas, who had operated the establishment since 1984.
