Insurance executive steps down as company sells holdings in four states
January 27, 2021 - Brad Kalter has resigned from his position as chief legal officer and general counsel at United Insurance Holdings Corp., the holding company of UPC Insurance, according to a Jan. 22 SEC filing. That same day, the St. Petersburg-based firm announced that it had sold its personal lines insurance business in Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island to HCI Group Inc., a property and casualty insurance company headquartered in Tampa.
