Israeli cybersecurity firm opens Tampa HQ

September 28, 2023 -

Israeli cybersecurity company Cybecs is opening its regional headquarters in Tampa and plans to create 150 jobs over the next three years, according to a joint announcement from the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council. "We were looking to expand with an office in the Eastern time zone, particularly the Southeast, and Tampa stood out to us because of the strong tech presence here,” Cybecs CEO Asaf Levy said in a prepared statement. The company, which provides end-to-end services, is leasing co-working space in downtown Tampa. EDC executives provided a community and labor market overview to make the case for Tampa and will continue to assist Cybecs in securing training grants and finding skilled talent through community partners.
