Kiteboarder seriously injured after collision with St. Pete Pier
March 23, 2024 - Gusty winds Friday hurled a kiteboarder into the side of the St. Petersburg Pier. Fire Rescue responded to the incident around 11:15 a.m. and transported the adult male in critical but stable condition to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. Another kiteboarder was injured Friday morning after falling about 30 feet onto the beach at Fort De Soto Park.
