Kriseman named chair of U.S. Conference of Mayors committee
September 8, 2019 - The City of St. Petersburg announced in a Facebook post that Mayor Rick Kriseman was named chair of the Environment Standing Committee for the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The Conference cited Kriseman's leadership in St. Pete and his ongoing commitment to the organization, the city said. "Under Mayor Kriseman, St. Pete has become a national leader in the fight against climate change and sea level rise, as illustrated by our commitment to clean energy, our Integrated Sustainability Action Plan, and our unprecedented investment in our infrastructure, among other initiatives," the Facebook post said.
