New Tampa Museum of Art exhibition honors women throughout history
July 11, 2020 - HerStory: Stories of Ancient Heroines and Everyday Women opens this week at the Tampa Museum of Art. The exhibition explores the story of women in the ancient world through the depictions of goddesses, heroines, mythological characters and everyday women in the museum’s collection of classical antiquities. The Tampa Museum of Art celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2020, the same year America celebrates 100 years since the adoption of the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution guaranteeing women’s right to vote.
