Outback leads Bloomin’ sales gains

April 26, 2019 - Bloomin’ Brands (Nasdaq: BLMN), the Tampa-based parent company of Outback, Bonefish, Carrrabba’s and Fleming’s, had a “terrific start” in 2019, said David Deno, the new CEO. First quarter revenue was $1.1 billion, led by a 3.5 percent increase in comparable restaurant sales at Outback in the United States. Net income was $64.3 million, or 69 cents a share, with an accounting change cutting three cents a share from the bottom line, a news release said.
