Paragon Water Systems to layoff 160+ workers

August 15, 2023 - Paragon Water Systems, a Culligan Water-owned filtration company, notified the state that the company is planning to conduct a mass layoff as it is closing its facilities in Oldsmar and Tampa. A company executive said Paragon will cut 127 employees in Oldsmar and 34 in Tampa. "It is anticipated that the Tampa Road location will eventually close and any non-laid off employees will be relocated to the Monroes Business Park location," Nicholas Polanski III, president of filtration, wrote in a Aug. 14 letter. The layoffs will take place from Oct. 13 to Jan. 31, 2024.
