PIE to welcome home veterans after Honor Flight trip Tuesday
October 17, 2026 - St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport (PIE) will host a welcome home celebration Tuesday (Oct. 20) after a group of veterans return from a Honor Flight of West Central Florida trip to Washington D.C. The St. Petersburg-based organization plans day-long experiences for men and women who have served in the armed forces. They are able to visit the D.C. area at no cost and tour the memorials that honor their sacrifice. The veterans are set to arrive at PIE at 7:15 p.m. This will be the last Honor Flight of 2026 and flights will resume in spring 2027.
