Pinellas County Jail 28-year-old inmate dies
July 6, 2026 - Robert Sunmonu, a 28-year-old inmate at the Pinellas County Jail, was found unresponsive July 3 in his cell. According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Sunmonu "had documented preexisting medical conditions." He was booked into the facility May 13 on a Federal Marshal Hold.
