Pinellas County records 20 more Covid deaths as two-week positivity rate tops 10 percent
January 6, 2021 - The Florida Department of Health reported an additional 534 cases in Pinellas County Wednesday and 20 additional deaths due to Covid-19, bringing the cumulative county total since March to 48,273 cases and 1,106 deaths. The two-week percent positivity rate now stands at 10.11 percent with seven consecutive days in the double digits. As of Wednesday afternoon, there were 362 people hospitalized with a primary diagnosis of Covid-19 in Pinellas County's acute-care hospitals, with 13.6 percent of adult ICU beds available. Nearly 16,000 people have been vaccinated against the virus countywide.
