Pinellas parking rate increase takes effect

January 2, 2025 - Pinellas County’s first parking rate increase in nearly 15 years took effect Wednesday after commissioners delayed an initial Oct. 1 implementation date due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Residents and visitors will now pay a $6 flat rate, a $2 to $5 increase, for county parking spaces at beach access points, boat ramps and campgrounds. Officials say the rate hike aligns with prices in neighboring counties and cities.
