Protect My Car lays off 75 St. Pete employees
March 2, 2023 - Auto repair coverage provider Advanced Marketing and Processing Inc., doing business as Protect My Car, has cut 75 local employees in finance and insurance positions via a mass layoff. The layoffs, which went into effect Feb. 23, took place at PMC's St. Pete HQ at 570 Carillon Parkway. "This decision must be made due to unforeseeable business circumstances," the company wrote in a Feb. 23 dated notification letter to the state.
