PSTA launches AI-powered call system
August 28, 2025 - The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will launch Spare AI Voice, a new automated call system designed to reduce hold times and improve access to services, in September. The artificial intelligence-powered system can handle unlimited calls simultaneously, and enables PSTA Access and Mobility on Demand customers to book rides, check trip statuses or cancel reservations without waiting on hold. The system will also remember rider preferences, and PSTA believes the two-year, $134,000 contract will help reduce overall operating costs.
