PSTA provides curb to curb rides for essential workers

April 27, 2020 - The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) announced Monday that it has created a new program to get essential workers to their workplaces. For workers who rely on the bus and have also seen their business hours expand or bus service reduce due to Covid-19, PSTA will provide curb to curb rides to and from the essential businesses that employ them through Uber, United Taxi or Care ride.  “We have all been impacted in some shape or form due to this pandemic, but there are essential workers who still need to get to work who rely on us to get them there,” said Brad Miller, Chief Executive Officer of PSTA in a statement. “This program will help those workers still get to their jobs so they can continue making the critical items needed to fight this virus.” PSTA is encouraging all interested businesses or employees to contact PSTA by emailing engage@psta.net.
